Group 2 Good to Go !!
For all of you from the second group and who have received their CRB form back - you can now start responding. You must first pick up your ID cards and sign for them (ring 07986401701 to make sure someone can meet you)
You will soon be upgraded on the website so that you can view the on-call page.
Hearts First Cardiff Santa Jog 2007
The British Heart Foundation are holding an sponsored jog in Cardiff on the 9th of December. The Cardiff Santa Jog is a fun and entertaining event which is sure to get everyone in the Christmas spirit. Participants can walk, jog or run the 3 mile course around splendid Bute Park – whilst wearing their very own Santa Suit!
Next Training Event
The next training event will soon be posted. This will be on a 'first
come first served' bases. This is only available to those signed up as

New Self-Auditing Page
In the following weeks there shall be a new page on this website for
internal auditing. Mark Turner (website designer) and Dr. Stephens
(Consultant Cardiologist at the UHW) will be helping with this new
page to ensure that all fields are valid and easily filled.
Cardiac Science Donate a Defib
Cardiac Science, the Comapny that produces the G3 Defibrillator, has
kindly donated a unit. Cardiff Medics' would like to thank them for
thier kind support.
British Heart Foundation sponsors Cardiff Medics' First Responders
The BHF have kindly agreed to match fund the next defibrillator.
We already have the funding to make up the other half. The new
defibrillator should be ready soon.
Sponsorship for Launch Evening
Prof. Helen Houston (Vice-dean of the Medical School) and Eluned Parrot
(from Cardiff Uni) have agreed to put money towards opening Lecture
Theatre 2 on the Launch Evening. Refreshments will be provided with
funding from Lucy Hughes (Medical Sickness). The Society would like to
thank all for their kind support.
