Our Thanks

Acknowledgements of Funding
Cardiff Medics’ First Responders is entirely self-funded, non-profit making and all members are volunteers. We are totally dependent upon voluntary contributions. Funding has been secured from the Wales Heart Research Institute and the British Heart Foundation. We would like to thank, Mr. Iain Breckenridge (Wales Heart Research Institute) and the British Heart Foundation, who without their financial support, this scheme would not be achievable.

The Publicity Centre have kindly agreed to print all of the polo-shirts for the first group for free - we would like to thank Christine and Mike Jenkins for this. The British Heart Foundation have recenty informed us that they will match fund our next defibrilator. We would like to thank all at the BHF for their support.

If you have a fund raising idea, or your organization maybe able to help contribute towards the next team of medical students first responders in Cardiff or Swansea please do not hesitate to contact us.

Acknowledgements of Support
We would like to thank Dr. Michael Colquhoun (Deputy Chair of the Resuscitation Council UK), Mr. Tony Rossetti (First Responder Coordinator for South and West Wales) and Dr. Stephens (University of Wales Hospital), who have encouraged the scheme from the start. We would like to take this opportunity to thank all those who have helped over the last year in setting up Cardiff Medics’ First Responders.

The society would also like to thank Mr. Mark Turner for producing this website - which has helped us all in communication between ourselves and to others - his dedication to this project has been remarkable.
